The Power of your Voice

On February 13th, Eidolo was hired to document another empowering event from one of Silicon Valley’s top leading nonprofit organizations offering a network for women in commercial real estate. The space was held in the heart of San Jose inside the Marriott Hotel, a hotspot for industry professionals and business gatherings. The tables were set up in a banquet style ambience waiting for guests to arrive. Treats of desserts and starter dishes placed considerately for each attendee with an adorable spatula gifted by the sponsors of the event.

“Batter together,” a little pun that encapsulates the cheesy love in February but truly what it resembles is the effortless desire of this nonprofit to build a community. As we take photos at any event, our eyes capture as our ears listen and this event was truly one to remember, for the message the speakers shared was full of support and empowerment.

The honorary speakers came from a separate organization focused to educate and invoke strength in women to negotiate the compensation they deserve. What a way to kick off the day before Valentine’s Day!

The speech was thoughtfully designed to be interactive with the audience by proposing questions that sparked connection and ones that required introspection. The very first ask to the attendees was for them to introduce themselves one by one, and take turns vocalizing how they can be supported by their table members.

Questions that challenged inner limitations were brought to light and with raised hands of those who related to the same limitations, it offered members a strike of reality and purpose in believing in themselves even more.

We were honored to be requested to capture the raw moments of laughter and attentive eyes of those at this event, along with the efforts put in by the honorary speakers and leaders of this nonprofit organization. Once again we got to shoot another event that fuels our passion and feeds our soul!
